  Job Description:
  • Strategic & Operational HR
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead day-to-day HR operations and ensure timely delivery of HR services.
  • Employee Relations & Labour Law Compliance
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee relations matters; investigate and resolve grievances and disciplinary issues professionally and confidentially.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nepalese labour laws and regulations; interpret and implement legal updates.
  • Manage employment contracts, statutory filings, and liaison with government authorities when required.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Own end-to-end recruitment for key roles: job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation.
  • Design and run structured onboarding programs to accelerate new-hire productivity.
  • Performance Management & Talent Development
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, goal setting, and talent reviews.
  • Design training and development programs, career paths, and succession plans.
  • Compensation & Benefits / Payroll Oversight
  • Recommend competitive compensation structures and manage benefits programs.
  • Oversee payroll process (in-house or vendor-managed) and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance.
  • HR Policy, Systems & Reporting
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs.
  • Maintain HR records and HRIS (or spreadsheets) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare regular HR metrics and reports for senior management (turnover, headcount, hire time, leaves, etc.).
  • Culture & Employee Engagement
  • Drive initiatives to boost employee engagement, wellness, and positive workplace culture.
  • Lead internal communications, staff events, recognition programs, and retention measures.
  • People Management
  • Manage HR team members (if applicable), set priorities, coach for performance, and build HR capabilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial or senior HR role (preferably within private sector / corporate environment).
  • Solid working knowledge of Nepalese labour laws, statutory requirements, and compliance processes.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to produce and interpret HR metrics and reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS or payroll software is an advantage.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
