  Job Description:
  • Prepare standard contracts for local and regional consultants requested by projects
  • Advise projects/programmes in concluding consulting service contracts, lease contracts.Execute contracts according to GIZ guidelines, including proper documentation.
  • Process for public tendering, restricted tendering and conclude consulting contract services for GIZ Nepal and lease contracts on behalf of the GIZ Office
  • Prepare appraisers contracts for German and international Consultants.
  • Ensure the commercial correctness of contracts concluded with consultants (individuals/firms)
  • Prepare event management contracts, coordinate with project for relevant supporting documents.
  • Monitor status of contract implementation maintains and update contract monitoring sheet.
  • Review contract reports status periodically and update individual project status to project teams and follow up for timely closing of unclosed contracts.
  • Maintains consultant database and updates.
  • Update GIZ Local consulting-rates time to time.
  • Files all contract documents together with completed financial closing and ensure a proper filing system of all procurement contracts.
  • Control agents providing services to the GIZ, providing framework contract if necessary.
  • Provides training on procurement procedure and advises projects.
  • Facilitates information exchange between the projects/program(s)
  • Yearly reporting of procurement of services.
  • Initiate framework agreement for regular services for GIZ Nepal.
  • Support Procurement unit to prepare standard contracts of financing agreement, local subsidies, procurement of goods, logistics as requested by head of procurement and contracting.
Education + Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/ management/business studies or similar area • At least 3 years' professional experience in a comparable position
  • Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali (both written and verbal)
